The same spinning green fronds and hand-dotted cobalt rim that have been turning on Portuguese wheels since the eighteenth century — on a side plate that carries the light of Caldas da Rainha to every table it lands on.
A pattern this considered does not diminish at a smaller scale — it concentrates. The single cobalt centre holds, the fronds still turn, and the dotted rim still does its quiet work around the edge.
